It’s hard to believe, but Valentine’s Day is just over a month away – which may not be much time if you want to plan something fantastic, especially if you’re on a tight budget. The good news is that you can find some great cheap Valentine’s Day ideas that will look expensive…if you start prowling for deals now. Here are some great places to look:
Groupon – If you’ve never used Groupon, now’s the time to check it out. Among the great deals I’ve seen recentlyare deals on facials and massages, restaurant deals, and interesting activities such as dance lessons (how romantic!), Segway tours and drinks at posh bars. If you don’t find a deal in your area today, sign up for email alerts and wait for the perfect cheap Valentine’s Day idea to come to you!
Restaurant.com – If you enjoy eating out, you can score some great deals at Restaurant.com. For extra savings, look for Restaurant.com coupons. They change regularly, but chances are good that you can find a code for up to 80% off of their already discounted restaurant vouchers.
Shutterfly – Shutterfly is one of my favorite sites for photo gifts because it’s so easy to use. You can find special deals here until January 12th, but if you’re not ready to commit to a meaningful (but cheap) Valentine’s Day idea now, don’t panic – the site always offers specials and coupons, so make sure to check back often, or to like my Facebook page for the latest in great photo deals and other deals.
Discount travel websites – Few people would reject the notion of a romantic getaway, and there are some great places to find some awesome Valentine’s Day deals. Try FareCompare’s iPhone app to get news about the latest deals, or use a last minute travel website as the day gets closer. If you’re planning a Valentine’s Day getaway, it’s never too early to start looking for deals. If you find one, book now – otherwise, enjoy the deals and spontaneity of making a last-minute decision.
Flowers – What woman doesn’t love a gorgeous bouquet of flowers? Save money on delivery by ordering from your local florist and picking them up yourself, or order from a well-known site like 1800Flowers.com. Save big by using online coupon codes which can be found on sites like CouponCabin.com and RetailMeNot.com.
Ice.com – Jewelry is always a great way to show someone you love them, and if you start shopping now, you’ll surely find some great deals. In fact, Ice.com is having a winter clearance with prices up to 82% the original prices, there are some great bargains to be had.
